Two Tunnels - August 2027
Two Tunnels takes place in Bath on Sunday 15 August 2027 and uses Brickfields Park, The Hollow, Twerton, BA2 1LX, as its event location. The organiser is Relish The Great Outdoors. Ticket sales for this event close on 6 August 2027; tickets are currently listed as sold out.
The route passes through two restored railway tunnels that run beneath the city. The Devonshire Tunnel is 408 m long and the Combe Down Tunnel is 1672 m long. The tunnels were part of the Somerset & Dorset Railway, which closed in 1966. They remained sealed until April 2013 and were reopened after a seven year conversion led by the Two Tunnels Group and Sustrans.
Both tunnels are described as well lit and well surfaced. They form part of a shared use path that is available to runners, walkers and cyclists and provides a flatter route through sections of the city.
