Bath & Bristol Railway Races
The event follows the route of the original train line from Green Park Station in Bath to Bristol Temple Meads. The course is reported as the flattest in the organiser's calendar and is surfaced entirely in tarmac, offering a road race style route through green countryside into Bristol.
Historic rail features appear along the route. The original trainline operated from 1869 until 1971. Between 1979 and 1986 the route was converted into the first section of the National Cycle Network. Runners pass restored signal boxes and stations including Warmley and Mangotsfield.
