Bastille Day Race
The Bastille Day Race takes place on 19 July 2026 at 501 St Bernard Parkway in Saint Bernard, Louisiana. The event features a race of 2 miles held on a mostly shaded, paved loop through the state park.
A post-race picnic follows with wine, cheese, and assorted canned beer. Event facilities include a pavilion, multiple picnic tables, a splash pad, and permanent restrooms.
Awards are presented as metal art pieces for overall, overall masters, and overall grand masters for male and female divisions. Additional awards are wine glasses given two deep in five-year age groups.
The event is presented as a runner reunion and specifically encourages past CTC members and area runners from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s to attend. Organizers note that participants who no longer run may still take part in the short distance or join the picnic and social gathering.
