brainstrust Bass Belle 10 km : event summary
The brainstrust Bass Belle 10 km is a chip timed road and off road race held on 21 June 2026 in the South Cambridgeshire villages of Bassingbourn and Litlington. The course is described as pancake flat and fast, and consists of approximately 7.5 km on road and 2.5 km off road along a grass track. Part of the route crosses private land, so entry to the event is required to complete the course.
The field is limited to 325 places. Runners must be at least 15 years old to take part and there is no upper age limit. The event has a maximum finish time of 1 hour 45 minutes. The race is open to social and club runners and also permits runners with dogs, buggies and guides.
All entrants receive a race pack by post and finishers receive a bespoke medal. Water will be available on course and at the finish; a cake stall and hot food stall are planned at the finish line subject to confirmation. Category winner trophies include an under 18 class and a highest fundraiser award. Cash prizes are offered for beating the course records currently set at 34.51 for male and 37.24 for female.
There are two entry routes: paid entry with proceeds going to brainstrust, or free entry for participants who agree to fundraise with a minimum target of £100.
