brainstrust Bass Belle 10km 2026
The brainstrust Bass Belle is a 10 km road and off road race based at Bassingbourn Village College in Bassingbourn, South Cambridgeshire. The event returns for its third edition after selling out in 2024 and 2025 and is organised by brainstrust - the brain cancer people. There are 325 places.
The course is described as pancake flat and fast, with 10 km made up of 7.5 km on road and 2.5 km off road. Part of the route crosses private land and is only accessible to race entrants. The route passes through local villages and offers varied surfaces and views along the way.
This is a chip timed event. Race packs are posted to participants in advance. The race is open to runners aged 15 and over with no upper age limit; past editions have included runners in their 80s. Participants have included those running with dogs, with buggies and with a guide.
Finishers receive a bespoke medal, water and event goodies. There are category winner trophies including a new under 18 category, a trophy for the highest fundraiser and cash prizes for beating the course records which currently stand at 34.51 for men and 37.24 for women. A cake stall and a hot food stall are listed for the finish area as TBC. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
