Bartlett Lions Dash
The Bartlett Lions Dash is a community running event held at James Pate Phillip State Park, 2050 West Stearns Road, Bartlett, Illinois, on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The event includes multiple distances and short kids races that take place inside the park; the running course passes into the park woods.
Distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Kids & Family Dash: 100 yard and 1/4 mile
The event includes a non-competitive Kids & Family Dash with two short distances. Children under five are recommended for the 100 yard dash; parents may run with their children. Each Kids & Family Dash participant receives a participation medal and a participation ribbon.
A Team Challenge is offered for teams of four or more runners or walkers. Trophies are awarded to the largest and the fastest teams in both the 5K and the 10K. The fastest team is determined by the average finishing time of team members. Teams must be registered before the race begins and may be added on race day.
Awards are given to overall male and female winners in the 5K and 10K and to the top three finishers in listed age groups. Portable bathroom facilities will be available at the park. Funds raised are used by the Bartlett Lions to assist people in need in the local community.
Shirts are provided by availability. Early bird 5K and 10K registrants are guaranteed a moisture wicking shirt in their requested size; child size participants receive cotton shirts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
