Bartlett Lions Dash : James Pate Phillip Park, Bartlett, IL
The Bartlett Lions Dash is an annual community running event held at James Pate Phillip State Park, 2050 West Stearns Road, Bartlett, IL. The event includes multiple distances and family-oriented races on a course that starts and finishes at the park and goes into the park woods. Funds raised are used by the Bartlett Lions to support members of the local community in need.

- Kids & Family Dash - 100 yard dash and 1/4 mile (non-competitive)
The Kids & Family Dash is non-competitive and offers a 100 yard option recommended for children under 5 and a 1/4 mile option for older children. Parents may run with younger children. Each Kids & Family Dash participant receives a participation medal and a ribbon for completing the dash.
Team Challenge: teams consist of four or more runners or walkers. Trophies are awarded to the largest and the fastest teams in both the 5K and 10K. Fastest team is determined by the average finishing time of registered team members. Teams must be registered before the race begins; additions on race day are permitted.
Registration details note an online deadline on Saturday, August 23 at 8:00 pm and a race day registration option with a $5 fee increase. Early bird 5K and 10K registrants are guaranteed a moisture-wicking shirt in their requested size; child-size cotton shirts are provided for kids registered in the Kids & Family Dash or requesting child-size shirts for the 5K or 10K. Shirts on race day are subject to availability. Portable restroom facilities are provided at the park.
Awards are presented to overall male and female winners for the 5K and 10K and to top three finishers in standard age groups; awards are presented after the Kids & Family Dash. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
