Event
The Barrel Oak Wine Run 5k is scheduled for June 7, 2026 in Delaplane, Virginia. The event is held at Barrel Oak Winery and Brewery, 3623 Grove Lane, Delaplane, VA 20144. The race is professionally timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results posted online.
Registration and participation
Standard registration price listed is $25, with a noted price increase after March 14, 2026. A virtual participation option is available; registrants can either pick up their packet and run on their own or request packet shipping for the virtual event (shipping and handling charges apply). Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event start.
Race items and services
Registered participants receive a ring-spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass (not included for some minors), a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, and a chip-timed race bib. A wine pour is included for eligible participants. Free race photos are available for download after the event.
Awards, rules and other details
Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in 10-year categories (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and over). Minors may participate with a discounted registration but will not receive the wine glass or wine pour and must be accompanied by someone aged 21 or older. Dogs are allowed on leash; strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground. A charity partner is being finalized. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
