Barrel Oak Wine Run 5K
The Barrel Oak Wine Run 5K is a sporting event located at the Barrel Oak Winery and Brewery in Delaplane, Virginia. The event features a chip-timed course that participants can choose to run or walk. The gathering focuses on the combination of craft beverages, community, and nature.

Participants receive a registration package that includes a super soft ring-spun cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof and collapsible wine glass, and a finisher medal that also functions as a wine stopper. A pour of wine is provided to participants aged 21 and over. While minors are permitted to register at a discounted rate, they will not receive the wine glass or beverage.
The race is professionally timed and scored, with results posted online following the event. Custom age group awards are available for the top three finishers in various ten-year age categories, ranging from under 9 to over 80. Competitive runners must start in the first wave to maintain eligibility for these awards.
The course features uneven ground, so the use of strollers is not recommended, though they are allowed. Dogs are permitted at the event provided they remain on a leash. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual participation option is available, which includes the shipping of race materials.
