Barrathon 2026
Barrathon 2026 is an island half marathon held on Barra on Saturday 27 June 2026. The course follows a coastal route and the event includes a post-race ceilidh. The race was first held in 2000 and was last run in 2019.
Historically the event was limited to 300 runners and became a sell-out. Barra Running Club is bringing the event back with a reduced initial allocation of places. Entry opened on 28 January 2026. The organiser is offering 240 places initially, followed by a wait list once those places are filled.
Entry fee information is listed as follows: the race entry fee is £35, an optional T-shirt is available for £15, and a booking fee applies. A separate fun run is planned; details for the fun run are to follow.
