Island Half Marathon in Barra
The Barrathon returns for its 2026 edition on the island of Barra in Scotland. First established in 2000, this event was last held in 2019 and is now organized by the Barra Running Club. The race features a coastal route through the local landscape.

The half marathon is restricted to a specific number of participants, with the 2026 event capped at 240 places. Registration for this edition opened in January 2026 and reached capacity shortly after. There is an entry fee for participants, which includes the option to purchase a commemorative T-shirt.
Electronic timing services are provided to record participant results. In addition to the main running events, the organizers traditionaly hold a post-race ceilidh for those involved in the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
