Barkman Marathons 2026
In-person event organized by Klaaz at K.R. Barkman Park in Steinbach, MB, 510 Wilson Street. The event asks participants to run around the town and search for books hidden by the former mayor. It is inspired by Barkley and includes way-finding and unexpected elements while noting a lower chance of hallucinations.
Participants should be self-sufficient for fueling and able to read a map for navigation. The advertised course is about 25 km, commonly completed as five laps, though distance may vary by participant. The event takes place in any weather, including rain or snow. As an open-course event, participants must follow rules of the road and are responsible for their own safety.
