2026 Bark & Brew 5K
The Bark & Brew 5K is a running and walking event held in Rochester, Michigan. Organized by Leader Dogs for the Blind, the event raises funds for programs and services provided to individuals who are blind or have low vision. The 2026 edition takes place on June 7, featuring a course that winds through the downtown area and local natural surroundings.
The event offers the following participation options:
- 5K (In-Person)
- Virtual 5K
The course begins in Downtown Rochester and enters Rochester Municipal Park along Paint Creek. Participants continue onto the Paint Creek Trail, passing the Rochester Library and crossing University Drive. The route concludes near the Rochester Mills Beer Company.
Registered in-person participants receive a tri-blend race t-shirt, a four-inch finisher medal, and a race bib. Each registration includes a coupon for a food item and a beverage at the post-race party. A specialized package is available for up to 400 registrants, which adds a branded pint glass and a velour fingertip sport towel to the standard race gear.
A celebration is held following the run at the local brewery location. This gathering features music from a live DJ, alongside food and refreshments provided by various local partners, including coffee, donuts, and sub sandwiches. The event is open to the public, allowing non-participants to join the post-race festivities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
