Bar Z Wine Run 5k
The Bar Z Wine Run 5k takes place on April 12, 2026 at Bar Z Winery in Canyon, Texas. The event includes a chip-timed 5k run and a volunteer-and-run option. Virtual participation is also offered, with a packet-shipping option for a fee.
Registrations include a Super Soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, online results, and a pour of wine for eligible participants. Minors may register at a reduced rate; those under the legal drinking age receive the shirt, medal, and bib but do not receive a wine glass or wine pour.
The course starts and finishes at the winery and features a long out-and-back stretch down the lane. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day of the event and opens one hour before the event start. The race is timed and scored by J3 Timing and race photos are made available online for free download.
Age-group awards are given to the top three finishers in each ten-year category. Awards are available for pickup on race day and are not shipped after the event. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate without registration.
