Event overview
The Bar Z Wine Run 5k is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Bar Z Winery, 19290 Farm to market 1541, Canyon, TX 79015. The event features a chip-timed 5k run/walk. The course starts and finishes at the winery and includes a long out-and-back stretch down the lane.
Registration, swag and services
Registration includes a T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal (also described as a wine stopper), a chip-timed race bib, and a pour of wine. Results are posted online and the event is timed by J3 Timing. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day of the event and opens one hour before the event.
Eligibility, awards and options
The event is open to a wide age range (listed as ages 1 to 99). Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but do not receive a wine glass or a wine pour. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Age group awards are offered for the top three finishers in each 10-year category: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Over. Age group awards are available for pickup on race day only. A virtual participation option is available, with packet pickup or packet shipping for an additional fee.
