Bar Z Haunted Wine Run 5k
This event is a chip timed 5k run/walk held at Bar Z Winery in Canyon, TX on October 11, 2026. The course starts and finishes at the winery and includes a long out and back stretch down the lane. Results are posted online after the race.
Registration includes a T-shirt described as super soft ring spun cotton, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib with chip timing, and a pour of wine at the finish. Packet pickup is scheduled on the day of the event and opens one hour before the event.
Age group awards are offered for the top three finishers in each category. Categories are organized in ten-year bands: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards. Age group medals are available for pickup on the day of the event only.
Minors may participate and receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib; minors do not receive a wine glass or a pour of wine. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Dogs are not permitted on site due to USDA restrictions.
