The Banff Half Marathon and 10K takes place in Banff, AB, Canada on June 14, 2026. The event offers on-course and virtual options and routes that pass Vermilion Lakes, the Legacy Trail and the Bow Valley Parkway, returning alongside Vermilion Lakes and the Bow River to downtown Central Park. The event is held within Banff National Park and requires annual final Parks Canada approval.

Additional scheduled activities on the weekend include an expo and race pack pick-up, a shake-out run, yoga in the park, and a kids run.
Registration, virtual event and policies
Prices are listed in Canadian dollars and include mandatory charges; sample Winter prices shown are: Half Marathon $153.49, 10K $121.33, Virtual (Canadian) $99.91, Virtual (International) $121.33. A 5% GST will be applied at checkout. All entries include a commemorative technical shirt and a finisher’s medal. Online registration closes on June 12, 2026, or when the event is sold out.
Age minimums by December 31, 2026 are 14 years for the Half Marathon and 12 years for the 10K; participants under 18 require parental or guardian consent. All participants must show picture ID at check-in. Entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable unless stated otherwise. A $3 race day insurance fee applies unless a valid Athletics Alberta (or equivalent IAAF) membership is provided. Due to wildlife in the park, organizers may alter, delay, shorten or cancel the route; no refunds will be issued for such changes.
The Virtual Run window is June 1–30, 2026 and includes a shipped race shirt, official finisher’s medal, online results, downloadable bib and a personalized finisher’s certificate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
