Event Overview

The Badlands Race Series is an ultrarunning event held within the Island Lake Recreation Area in Brighton, Michigan. It features three separate races.

Distances and Format

The event includes three ultramarathon distances:

  • Nightfall 50K: A nighttime race.
  • Overnight 100K: A nighttime race consisting of two loops of the 50K course.
  • Daybreak 50K: A daytime race.

All races start and finish at the same location. The total participant cap for the event is 450 runners, with each of the three race divisions capped at 150 participants.

Registration and Logistics

Registration operates on a tiered pricing system, with costs increasing after specific dates. Packet pickup and runner check-in occurs on the day before the respective races.

Additional Information

This is the inaugural running of the event. A prize purse is offered for the Nightfall 50K and Overnight 100K races, distributed across Open and Women's categories. The Daybreak 50K does not have a prize purse. Registered runners will receive a tech hoody and other items. Finishers within the cutoff time receive medals.
