Event overview
The Badlands Race Series is an inaugural trail running event held at Island Lake Recreation Area in Brighton, Michigan. The event features three races that start and finish at the same hub. The 100K consists of two full loops of the 50K course. Two of the races take place overnight and one takes place during the daytime.

The event will host up to 450 participants total, with each race capped at 150 runners. Registration closes on Wed, May 13 at 11:59 PM ET. Packet pickup and runner check-in are scheduled before the races.
Costs and prizes
Early bird and staged pricing tiers are listed for both distances. Prices vary by registration period. The total prize purse is $9,750. Monetary prizes are allocated for the Nightfall 50K and the Overnight 100K; the Daybreak 50K does not have a prize purse. Prize amounts include first, second, and third place awards in two competitive categories. An additional course-record bonus is available for first-place winners in the paid races.
Additional notes
