Badlands Race Series
Badlands Race Series is a set of trail races held within Island Lake Recreation Area in Brighton, MI, with the race hub and both start and finish located at the same central area near 6301 Kensington Rd. The event is the inaugural running and uses the park's trail network for all courses.

- Nightfall 50K
- Overnight 100K (two full loops of the 50K course)
- Daybreak 50K
The event limits total entries to 450 participants, with each race division capped at 150 runners. Two of the three races are held at night. Packet pickup and runner check in are scheduled before each race. Registrations close on May 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.
Prize structure and merch The total advertised prize purse is $9,750, allocated primarily to the night races; the Daybreak 50K does not have a prize purse. An additional course record bonus is available for first place in applicable races. All registrations include a tech hoody; finishers who complete their race within the cutoff receive finisher medals and awards.
Entry fees follow tiered pricing by registration date, and a refund and credit policy applies by request date. No transfers of registration are allowed and event platform fees are non refundable.
