Badges and Bravery 5K and Kids' Fun Run
The ninth annual Badges and Bravery event takes place on 08/01/2026 at the Allegan Sports Complex in Allegan, Michigan. The program includes a 5K route held within the sports complex and a separate short run for children.

- 880 yards kids run for ages 12 and under
The course for the 5K does not cross into traffic on the current route. The kids run pairs children with law enforcement and first responders; participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite hero. Every registered child is entered into a drawing to win a free bicycle. The event is described as community friendly and includes post-race refreshments, food, and activities.
Registration opens on 04/10/2026 and closes on 07/31/2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $40.00 for the 5K and $10.00 for the kids run. T-shirts are not included with registration but may be purchased for $15; onsite registrations are welcome though shirts are not guaranteed. Registration includes a finishing medal that is individually designed by children participating in therapy at Safe Harbor.
