Badges and Bravery 5K and Kids' Fun Run
The eighth annual Badges and Bravery event takes place at Allegan Sports Complex in Allegan, Michigan. The event features a community 5K and a short kids run designed for children 12 and under to run alongside law enforcement and first responders. Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite hero.

- 880 yards kids run for ages 12 and under.
Registration opens 4/10/2026 and closes 7/31/2026. Fees listed by the organizer include a $40 registration fee for the 5K and a $10 fee for the kids run. Online registration closes on 7/31/2026; onsite registration is accepted on race day but T-shirt availability is not guaranteed.
Registration includes the entry fee and a finishing medal that is individually designed by children participating in therapy at Safe Harbor. T-shirts are not included in registration; adult shirts are available for purchase for $15 and youth shirts can be ordered during registration.
The event schedule includes post-race refreshments and food. Proceeds from the event support services for victims of child abuse and neglect. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
