Badges and Bravery 5K and Kids' Fun Run
The Badges and Bravery event is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Allegan Sports Complex, 1451 29th St, Allegan, MI 49010. The event includes a 5K runner/walker and a Kids Fun Run open to ages 2 to 12. This is the seventh annual running of the event and the 5K follows a course through Allegan.
Event details and features
Registration for both events opens May 13, 2026 at 12:01am EDT. The listed entry fees are $40 for the 5K and $10 for the Kids Fun Run. Registration includes a finishing medal that was individually designed by children participating in therapy at Safe Harbor. Shirts are available for purchase; onsite registrations are accepted on race day but shirts are not guaranteed. Everyone 12 and under who registers for either event will be entered into a drawing for one of two kids' bikes, one donated by Rock 'N' Ride Bikes in South Haven and the other donated by a board member. After the run, refreshments and food will be available. All proceeds support services for victims of child abuse and neglect. Participants are encouraged to dress as a favorite hero.
