Event overview
The Bacon and Beer - Bacon5Kegs is an annual 5K run/walk held in Racine, Wisconsin on September 5, 2026. The course is described as flat with no hills and runs along the shores of Lake Michigan. The start and finish are located at the Festival Park grounds, 5 Fifth Street, Racine, WI.
Race features and logistics
All participants receive a commemorative finisher medal and a commemorative T-shirt. The event includes live music, a complimentary beverage, complimentary bacon and other pork products, and complimentary entry to the Bacon & Brews Festival (Saturday only). Parking is available throughout the area.
Packet pickup is at the Festival Park concessions building. A Remote Runner option is available; remote participants receive event swag, shirt, bib, and medal by mail the week after the event and may complete a 5K within seven days of the event date.
Timing uses a shoe-tag system. Participants must wear shoe tags and a visible race bib to be timed; failure to wear them properly may lead to disqualification. Results are posted online and are not official for 48 hours to allow corrections. Awards recognize the top three male and female finishers and the top male and female in each 5-year age group. Refunds are not permitted, though transfers, deferrals, and other registration changes are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
