Bacon and Beer - Bacon5Kegs
Bacon and Beer is an annual 5K run/walk held at Festival Park in Racine, Wisconsin. The start and finish are located on the Festival Park grounds and the course follows the shores of Lake Michigan. The route is described as scenic and without hills.
On-site features include live music, a complimentary beverage, and complimentary bacon and other pork products. The event includes entry to the Bacon and Brews festival on Saturday only. Participants receive a commemorative race medal and a commemorative T-shirt with Dry Zone moisture wicking fabric. Packet pickup is available at the Festival Park concessions building. Parking is available throughout the area.
Timing uses a shoe tag system; participants must wear shoe tags and a visible race bib to be timed. Awards recognize the top three males and top three females overall and winners in five year age categories. A Remote Runners option is offered; remote participants receive mailed packets after the event and may complete a 5K anywhere within seven days to receive swag and a finisher item.
