BackRoads Track Fest (July 10, 2026)

BackRoads Track Fest is presented by New Balance and takes place at College Avenue Secondary School in Woodstock, Ontario. This is the third annual edition of the grassroots, unsanctioned track festival.

The event is held on a soft surfaced, pancake flat track and features multiple distances and race types for different age groups and categories.

  • Kids 100 m
  • Kids 400 m (1 lap)
  • Kids 1 000 m (2.5 laps)
  • 5 000 m
  • Elimination Mile (1 mile = 4 laps)
  • Team 4 x 400 m relay

Kids events cover ages roughly between 2 and 12 and must be registered by a parent or guardian. The Kids 100 m and 400 m events are free. Participants must be at least 13 years old to enter the 5 000 m; youth aged 13 to 15 must be registered by a parent or guardian and be onsite at check-in.

The Elimination Mile removes the last runner each lap until the final lap determines the remaining finisher. Entry fees contribute to venue booking and further proceeds support youth programs run by London Western Track and Field Club. Complimentary water, electrolyte drinks, and participant snacks will be provided.

The evening program includes check-in and bib pickup, opening announcements, kids races, 5 000 m heats, the Elimination Mile, the team relay, and closing remarks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
