Babcock Dumbarton 10K
The Babcock Dumbarton 10K is a ten kilometre road race organised by Dumbarton AAC as part of the Babcock 10K Series. It is a Scottish Athletics permit event and forms the Dunbartonshire 10K Championships in 2026. The event offers a commemorative medal, a goody bag with running accessories, a piece of Babcock 10K merchandise and spot prizes from Start Fitness. Over the series there are £6,000 in prizes for leading individuals.
The course starts close to the race headquarters at Dumbarton Academy on Crosslet Road, Dumbarton, G82 2AJ. The route is a single lap, largely traffic free, and the first 7 km are on cycle paths. The course is described as well marshalled. The Babcock series is noted as running for many years and Dumbarton has welcomed runners for decades.
