Babcock Dumbarton 10K
The Babcock Dumbarton 10K is the second race in the Babcock 10K Series and will host the Dunbartonshire 10K Championships in 2026. The event is organised by Dumbarton AAC and holds a Scottish Athletics permit.
The race offers series prizes totalling £6,000 for leading individuals, a unique commemorative medal and a goody bag with running accessories at each race, a piece of Babcock 10K merchandise, and spot prizes supplied by Start Fitness.
The course starts close to the race headquarters at Dumbarton Academy, Crosslet Road, Dumbarton G82 2AJ. The route is a single lap, largely traffic free, with the first 7 km run on cycle paths. The course is described as well marshalled. Dumbarton has staged this 10K for several decades and the Babcock series dates back more than forty years.
