About the race
The 4th Annual B-29 Museum & Memorial 5K takes place at the B-29 Museum in Pratt, Kansas on June 12, 2027. The event includes on-site and virtual options and is presented by a 501(c)(3) organization; proceeds and donations benefit the museum that preserves stories and artifacts of those who served on Pratt Army Air Field from 1942 to 1945.
Distances and participation options:
- 5K (3.1 miles) around the museum grounds and All-Veterans Memorial
- 1 mile Historical Trail Walk along the PAAF historic trail, fully paved with site signage
- Virtual 5K option
Participants in the 5K receive chip timing provided by Timer Guys. Commemorative medals are awarded to finishers of the 5K and the 1-mile walk. Custom trophies are presented to the first-place 5K finisher in each age category (male and female) and to the first overall male and female. To guarantee a shirt size, registration must be completed before June 1, 2027; listed registration fees are $35 for the 5K and $30 for the 1-mile walk and virtual 5K. Packet pickup and check-in are scheduled for Friday evening and early Saturday morning. Exclusive access to museum exhibits is available for 5K participants and Veterans on June 6th.
