Azle Lake Run
The Azle Lake Run is an annual athletic event held in Azle, Texas, located near Fort Worth and Dallas. The 2026 edition marks the 45th annual occurrence of this community tradition. All featured distances begin and end at Ash Creek Park, with routes winding through the local city streets.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Color Fun Run
The event is pet friendly, allowing animals to accompany their owners on the course. To support this, water and treats are provided for pets at stations throughout the routes. Organizers require that all participating animals are current with vaccinations and remain on a leash at all times.
Proceeds from the registration fees are directed to the Azle Area Ministerial Alliance, an organization that provides support to various community groups in the local area. While registration remains open through early November for the shorter distances, an early deadline in late October is established for those wishing to guarantee an event shirt in their preferred size.
