Azle Lake Run
The Azle Lake Run is an annual community running event held in Azle, Texas, with races that begin and finish at Ash Creek Park (605 Southeast Parkway). The event offers road race distances and a color fun run and takes participants along a winding out and back route through the city near the western edge of Eagle Mountain Lake.
Race options include:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Color Run
The event welcomes walkers, runners, and dogs; many participants walk parts or the entire distance. Pets must be current with vaccinations and kept on a leash. Water is provided on the course for animals. Band members of the Azle Marching Green Pride provide musical entertainment along the route.
The Azle Area Ministerial Alliance organizes the event and directs proceeds to support local organizations in the Azle community. Packet pick-up is scheduled before race day. Parking is available at the park entrance. Post-race snacks are provided and individually wrapped for safety.
Typical local climate information notes average lows and highs for race day, which can help participants plan clothing and preparation. The event includes awards for top finishers by age category in the 5K and 10K races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
