Race Details

The Aylsham 10k is the sixth race in the 2026 Sportlink Grand Prix Series. It takes place in Aylsham, with the race headquarters at Aylsham Drill Hall on Cawston Road. Parking is available at the Scouts field on Henry Page Road, which is noted as being approximately a 15-minute walk from the race headquarters.

Course Information

The 10 km route is an anti-clockwise lollypop-style course on undulating, scenic country lanes. It starts and finishes on Blickling Road, near the race headquarters. The course takes runners onto Heydon Road, through Able Heath to Oulton Street and back. All roads on the course will be closed to traffic for the duration of the race. The route features kilometer markers, a water station at 5.5 km, and is well marshalled. Starting positions are organized using markers for projected finish times (sub-35, sub-45, and sub-55 minutes).

Registration & Facilities

Registration opens at 7:30 AM. A minimum age of 15 is required on race day. Entry fees are £20 for affiliated runners and £22 for unaffiliated runners. There are no refunds or deferrals, but entries can be transferred to another runner until May 1, 2026. Facilities include a baggage drop and toilets at the race headquarters. Refreshments are available for purchase before and after the race.

Rules & Prizes

The use of headphones, including bone-conducting types, is prohibited, as are buggies and dogs. A bespoke medal is given to all finishers, along with water and snacks. Prizes are awarded on the day for male and female participants in multiple categories, including overall winners, age groups (starting from Senior to 65-69, and 70+ in 5-year increments), and wheelchair athletes.
