Aylsham 10k
The Aylsham 10k is a road running event organized by Aylsham Runners and serves as the sixth race of the 2026 Sportlink Grand Prix Series. The course consists of an anti-clockwise "lollypop" type route that takes place entirely on closed roads. Participants follow undulating, scenic country lanes through locations such as Heydon Road, Able Heath, and Oulton Street.
The race starts and finishes on Blickling Road near the Race HQ at Aylsham Drill Hall. The course is accurately measured and features kilometer markers throughout the route. To assist participants, markers denote projected finish times for sub-35, sub-45, and sub-55 minute categories. A water station is located at the 5.5 km mark.
Facilities available at the Race HQ include toilets, a baggage drop, and refreshments available for purchase before and after the event. Parking is provided at the Scouts field on Henry Page Road, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the Race HQ.
Finishers receive a bespoke medal along with water and snacks. Prizes are awarded in various categories:
- 10 km
Prizes are distributed for overall winners, wheelchair athletes, and age group categories starting from seniors up to 70+ in five-year increments. The minimum age for participation is 15 years on race day. Regulations prohibit the use of headphones, buggies, or dogs during the race.
