The AVR Run, organized by Koninklijke Atletiek Vrienden Roeselare (KAVR), is set to take place on November 30, 2024. This 27th edition, formerly known as De Westlaanrun, honors Dr. Carlos Goethals and supports AMICI vzw, which provides additional assistance to students in boarding schools.
Participants can enjoy a variety of activities, including a meet and greet with champion Alexander Doom. The event features individual and team competitions over distances of 3.5 km and 10.5 km, with prizes for top finishers and teams. The start and finish will be at MSKA Groenestraat in Roeselare.
