Avianto Trails Orienteering : Muldersdrift, Gauteng
Avianto Trails Orienteering takes place on 13 September 2026 at Avianto Trails in Muldersdrift, Gauteng. The event is part of the 2026 Gauteng Bush Orienteering Series and offers seven courses with varying distance and navigation difficulty. Registration and the finish are located at the Avianto Estate Clubhouse and Sports Park. The Avianto Clubhouse Restaurant will be open on the day and there is a children’s play park at the venue.
Course distances and focus:
- Brown Course : approx. 6 km, technical navigation for experienced orienteers
- Blue Course : approx. 5 km, technical navigation for experienced orienteers
- Red Course : approx. 6 km, on trails for trail runners with easy navigation
- Green Course : approx. 4.2 km, moderate navigation for intermediate orienteers
- Light Green Course : approx. 3.5 km, moderate navigation for novice orienteers
- Orange Course : approx. 2.8 km, easy introduction for novice or teen participants
- Yellow Course : approx. 1 km, very easy introduction for small children; this is the only course available for on-the-day entry and costs R20
Entry fee for pre-entered courses starts at R250 and includes the Avianto Trails day visitor entry fee. Groups of up to four people may enter together. Water points will be available on course but participants are advised to carry personal water due to mid-summer conditions and demanding terrain.
