About the race
The Joburg Ultra Triathlon takes place on 13 December 2026 at Cradlemoon Lakeside Game Lodge in Krugersdrift, Krugersdorp, Gauteng. The event is organised by DELTA SPORT and offers multiple race classes for individuals and teams.
Race classes and distances include:
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Standard Tri: 1.5 km swim, 40 km cycle, 10 km run
- Aquabike: 2 km swim, 80 km bike (swim and cycle only)
- Ultra: 2 km swim, 80 km bike, 18 km run Team entries are available in selected classes with teams of two or three participants.
Entry pricing varies by period. Early bird, standard and late entry bands are listed for each class, with examples such as Sprint from R700 to R900 and Ultra from R2 750 to R3 100 depending on the entry window. Temporary Triathlon South Africa day licence fees apply and differ by class. Some entry periods include race apparel and a goodie bag; late entries do not include these items.
Minimum ages apply to some classes: Sprint 16 years minimum and Ultra 18 years minimum. Pensioner categories are available for Sprint and Ultra with reduced entry fees.
