AVFRD Harvest Blaze 5K Run
The AVFRD Harvest Blaze event in Ashburn on September 26 includes a community 5K and a Kids' Spark Sprint for children. Both races start and finish at Route 7 Brewing, 20051 Riverside Commons Plaza #148, Ashburn, VA 20147. A post-race celebration at the same location will include food, drinks, live music, and additional activities.

Online registration opens June 21 and remains available through Race Day. Fee structure for the 5K: early registration is $35 through July 3; fees are $45 from July 4 through September 5; registrations from September 6 through Race Day are $45 and will not include a shirt. The Kids' Spark Sprint fee is $20 through Race Day and does not include a beer ticket. All registrations must be completed online. Shirts will not be available for any registrations after September 5.
Packet pickup will be offered at Route 7 Brewing on the day before and on Race Day. A complimentary beer ticket is provided to participants age 21 and older; a valid photo ID is required at packet pickup and again at the brewery to redeem the ticket.
All race proceeds and donations benefit AVFRD's Ray Muth Scholarship Fund, which provides higher education scholarships for department members and their children. Awards will be presented to the top three overall female and top three overall male finishers in the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
