Avalon Beach Classic 5K Run, 2 Mile Walk and Kids Fun Runs
The event on July 19, 2026 takes place in Avalon, New Jersey at Community Hall, 3001 Avalon Avenue. The program includes multiple distances and youth fun runs held on an out-and-back course along the beach, with runners using packed hard sand near the water edge.

- Beach Classic 5K Run (distance listed as 3 Miles)
- Beach Classic 2 Mile Walk
- BEACH CLASSIC 2K FUN RUN for ages 11-15
- BEACH CLASSIC 1K FUN RUN for ages 10 and under
Online registration is required; published entry fees are $25 for the 5K run and 2-mile walk, and $20 for each youth fun run. Race-day packet pickup is inside Community Hall at 3001 Avalon Avenue. The event is chip timed by DQ Events. There is not a water aid station on the course.
Awards and finish recognitions are provided: 5K awards to top three male and female overall and age-group winners in 10-year groups; youth finishers receive medals and the top five male and female in each youth age group (8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15) receive awards. A Fastest Family category compares combined times for parent-child and family pairs across distances.
Proceeds support the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children; funds are directed to offset weekly costs for the home's free vacation weeks and to support its programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
