Event Details
The Autumn March for ALS is scheduled for October 17, 2026, in Dyersburg, Tennessee. The event offers multiple running and walking distances:
- Autumn March for ALS 5K
- Autumn March for ALS 2-Mile Walk
- Autumn March for ALS Youth Mile
- Ghost Runner (a virtual participation option)
- Y-Tot Trot (a half-mile run for children five years old and under)
The Youth Mile and Y-Tot Trot events are free to enter. The 5K, 2-Mile Walk, and Ghost Runner options have a registration fee.
History and Purpose
The event was originally created in 1991 to support youth programs. Since 2016, it has been organized as the Autumn March for ALS Awareness. Proceeds from the event benefit the Tennessee ALS Chapter, local senior scholarships, and a local charity.
Location and Activities
All race courses start at the Downtown Farmers Market on Main Street. Beyond the races, the event features an Auto Show, food trucks, vendors, a DJ, a bounce house and slide, a cake walk, face painting, and door prizes.
