Typical ultra footwear is road shoes; a headlamp is recommended for the first lap. Runners pass two aid stations three times on each 10k loop. The event is cupless - participants must carry their own cup or use a hydration system. Support crew access is allowed at the start/finish and at a mid-course aid station near Oak Grove.
Race rules, awards and policies
50K runners may have a pacer for the last two loops; 50M runners may have a pacer for the last three loops. Pacers must sign a waiver, wear a pacer bib, may use aid stations, and may not carry supplies for a runner. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each timed event by Men, Women, Nonbinary, and Masters divisions. Finish place is determined by Finish Time.
