About the race
Australian Alpine Ascent is a trail-running festival set in Kosciuszko National Park in the Snowy Mountains near Perisher Valley, NSW. It offers three trail distances: 80 km, 55 km, and 27 km, challenging runners with rugged alpine terrain and variable mountain weather. The route climbs to high points amid spectacular scenery, with aid stations, timing, and a finishers’ medal.
A AAA Extreme option awards the Rock of Pain trophy to finishers who reach the summit and return. The event is professionally run by Elite Energy, with a festival atmosphere at The Stables Resort Perisher and stay/play options, supported by local partners.
