Austin Reardon Memorial 5K (AR5K Road Race)
The Austin Reardon Memorial 5K is an annual road race organized by the Austin Reardon Scholarship Foundation in Norwood, Massachusetts. Proceeds support high school scholarships and other charitable donations. The event is held rain or shine and tickets are nonrefundable. The third annual race is scheduled for October 11, 2026.
The course starts and finishes at the Knights of Columbus on Nichols Street (572 Nichols Street, Norwood, MA). Runners proceed up Nichols Street, turn left onto Willett Parkway, bear left around Westover Parkway and continue onto Rugby Road. The route then turns left onto Albemarle Road, left onto Essex Street and left onto Croydon Road before returning with a right onto Westover Parkway and a right back onto Nichols Street to finish at the Knights of Columbus. Runners are asked to stay to the left side of Nichols Street when returning toward the finish.
At least one water station will be available on the route. Police detail is posted on Nichols Street, at the Willett Street intersection, and at the Knights of Columbus entrance. Every registered participant receives a pair of socks and the race donates a matching pair to charity; the event donated 450 pairs in 2024 and 500 pairs in 2025.
