Trail Running in Auburn
The Auburn Love event takes place in the foothills of Northern California at Overlook Park. The race features a variety of terrain including single-track trails, dirt paths, and hills within the American River Canyon area. Participants navigate a landscape characterized by oak trees and views of the surrounding canyon.
Runners can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km: Includes a trail-specific route and a separate stroller-friendly course on solid ground.
- 10 km: A longer trail route featuring climbs and descents through the local foothills.
This is a cupless event, meaning participants are responsible for carrying their own reusable water bottles or hydration systems to use at aid stations. The aid stations are stocked with various supplies such as electrolytes, water, soda, gels, and snacks. All participants receive a finisher medal and a custom race bib. Participants who register by May 10th are guaranteed a t-shirt, with an option to upgrade to a moisture-wicking version.
A virtual participation option is available for those unable to attend the physical location on race day. Virtual participants complete their chosen distance independently and submit their results electronically to receive a finisher medal. For the in-person event, all race materials and swag are distributed on the day of the race at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
