ATW Watford Half Marathon & 10K
The event at Cassiobury Park Avenue, Watford, Hertfordshire (WD18 7HF) on 7 February 2027 comprises three distances: a family Fun Run, a multi-terrain 10K, and a Half Marathon. It has been held for over 40 years and holds a Racecheck Gold Award.
The family Fun Run is 1.8 km and stays within Cassiobury Park; children under eight must be accompanied by a full paying adult. The 10K starts alongside the Half Marathon, uses mixed surfaces, leaves the park onto traffic-free roads, then follows the Grand Union Canal towpath and woodland trails before returning past the event HQ. The 10K has no cut-off time and entries are limited.
The Half Marathon follows fully closed roads into nearby country lanes, passing Bucks Hill, Commonwood Common, and Chandlers Cross before returning to Cassiobury Park. There is a cut-off of 2 hours 45 minutes at the 11 mile point; roads reopen after that point. The Half Marathon includes the Hertfordshire Senior championship for eligible residents or those born in Hertfordshire.
On-course support includes a lead car and cycle escort, pacers for both main races, musical entertainment, professional commentary, free photos, finish line goodies, and a unique medal. One Half Marathon entrant will be randomly awarded a £2000 spot prize.
Parking is not organised in the park; parking in Watford city centre and public transport options are available. The organiser allows entry transfers to future ATW events up to 48 hours before the event; refunds and name transfers are not offered.
