The race is a single lap that starts and finishes in Highfield Park and runs along the Alban Way, a flat, tree-lined disused railway line towards Hatfield, then loops via Sleapshyde and returns along the Alban Way. Most of the route is on tarmac, finishes on a grass field, and is mostly traffic-free. The course is described as well marked with marshals along the route.
Event facilities include live music, a bar, and a coffee van. Every runner receives free event photos, a custom-designed medal, finish-line snacks and a glass of celebratory fizz.
