Course, facilities and logistics
The race is a single lap that starts and finishes in Highfield Park. The route follows the tarmac, tree-lined Alban Way out towards Hatfield, makes a loop via Sleapshyde, and returns along the Alban Way. The finish is on a grass field and most of the course is traffic-free. The course will be well marked and marshals will be present.
Event facilities include live music, a bar, a coffee van, free event photos, a custom-designed medal, finish-line snacks and a glass of celebratory fizz. The organiser supports the SheRACES initiative and provides measures such as full entry credit for entrants who become pregnant before the race; equal prizes for male/open and female categories; toilet facilities and sanitary products at the event village; a zero-tolerance policy on harassment; and a system for collecting post-event feedback.
