ATW St Albans New Years Eve 10K
The event is a New Year’s Eve 10K held at Highfield Park in St Albans, Hertfordshire, organised by ATW. The course is a single lap that starts and finishes in Highfield Park and runs along the Alban Way toward Hatfield, then makes a loop via Sleapshyde before returning along the Alban Way. Most of the route is traffic free, the surface is tarmac with a grass finish field, and the course is described as well marked with support from marshals.
A free Children’s Fun Run takes place shortly before the 10K and does not require booking. Event amenities include live music, a bar, and a Cow Juice Coffee van for refreshments. Each runner receives free event photos, a custom designed medal, finish line snacks and other goodies, and a glass of celebratory fizz.
Practical information listed by the organiser notes that St Albans City Station is about a 1.5 mile walk from the venue. Parking options mentioned include a small YMCA Watford car park of approximately 50 bays and the Station Way multi storey with about 600 bays, also around 1.5 miles away.
