ATW St Albans Half Marathon #icelollyrun : 14 June 2026, Verulamium Park
The event is organised by Active Training World (ATW) at Verulamium Park, St Albans AL1 2DL on 14 June 2026. It is a community event that supports local causes; in 2025 £1 from every entry was donated to the upkeep of Abbey View Running Track and the track will be supported again in 2026. The event lists Alzheimer’s Research UK as a partner charity. Routes include closed-road sections and country lanes and contain some hills. Parking is available in St Albans city centre car parks.
Races and entry details
- Half Marathon - running entry, entrants must complete course in 3 hrs 15 mins
- Walking Half Marathon - walking entry, entrants must complete course in 5 hrs; finishers receive a medal and an ice lolly
- Wheelchair Half Marathon - wheelchair entry, entrants must complete course in 3 hrs 30 mins
- 10K - closed-road, open to those aged 15 and over, starts alongside half marathon, no time limit
- 5K - open to those aged 11 and over, entrants must complete in 55 mins
- Fun Run (1.5 miles) - open to all ages, not chip-timed; children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult with their own ticket; rolling start
Entry prices range from £11 to £40 depending on race and ticket type. A VIP area is offered with a separate fee and funds go toward charity donations.
Other items
The SA Law Challenge is a team competition scoring the first three finishers in the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. ATW does not offer refunds or transfers to another person but allows transfers to future ATW events up to 48 hours before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
