ATW St Albans Half Marathon #icelollyrun - 13 June 2027
The ATW St Albans Half Marathon is a community running event held at Verulamium Park, St Albans. The event brings together runners, walkers, families, supporters and local businesses and has a history of more than 40 years in the city.
An event village opposite Westminster Lodge includes a children's funfair, food court, bar, live entertainment stage, charity stalls and local exhibitors. Skechers will have a presence at the event to showcase footwear.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon, closed road route through country lanes
- Wheelchair Half Marathon, full half marathon route
- Walking Half Marathon, same medal and ice lolly as runners
- Closed Road 10K, starts alongside the half marathon
- 5K, shorter road distance option
- Family Fun Run, 1.5 mile loop through Verulamium Park
Every finisher receives a medal and an ice lolly at the finish. Time limits apply: half marathon runners must complete within 3 hours 15 minutes, wheelchair entrants within 3 hours 30 minutes, and walking entrants within 5 hours. The 10K has no cut off time. The Family Fun Run is not chip timed; children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult who has a Fun Run entry.
The event supports local causes, including ongoing contributions to Abbey View Running Track, and partners with Alzheimer’s Research UK for fundraising.
