Winter Running at Mallory Park
The ATW Mallory Race Circuit Winter Runs take place at the Mallory Park Motor Racing Circuit in Leicestershire. This event provides the opportunity to run on an iconic motor racing track that formerly hosted Formula 1 races. The venue features a fast and flat course winding through the circuit grounds.
The event offers several distances to accommodate different ages and experience levels:
- Fun Run: A 1.25 km single lap of the circuit.
- 5k: A 5 km race consisting of two 2.5 km laps.
- 10k: A 10 km race consisting of four 2.5 km laps.
- Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile race consisting of eight laps.
For the 5k and 10k distances, participants are organized into wave starts based on predicted finish times to ensure a smoother flow on the track. Wave 1 is designated for runners aiming for sub-25 minutes in the 5k or sub-50 minutes in the 10k, while Wave 2 is for those above those times. Wheelchair participants are also welcome and start alongside the half marathon participants.
The course features on-course entertainment including a DJ and live music. After finishing, participants can access hot drinks and snacks.
