Event overview
The ATW Bristol Triathlon takes place at Brunel Lock Rd, Cumberland Basin, Bristol, with the course based around Bristol Harbour. The swim is in the Cumberland Basin, the bike uses a traffic-free section of the Portway under the Clifton Suspension Bridge, and the run follows paths alongside the River Avon. The event is a mass-start, non-drafting race with start waves through the morning. The next scheduled race date is 12/07/2026.
Race distances and logistics
Distances offered:
- Sprint - 750 m swim, 21 km bike, 5 km run
- Standard - 1500 m swim, 42 km bike, 10 km run
An Aquabike (swim-bike) option is available for both distances and a relay is offered over the Standard distance. The course is described as closed-road and traffic-free, and the event includes marshals, course signage, finish-line snacks and a custom medal. There is no parking at the event venue; city centre parking options are available and drop-off and spectator areas are highlighted in final race information. The organiser does not offer refunds or transfers to another person. Entries can be transferred to any future ATW event up to 48 hours before the event without proof.
