ATW Bristol Triathlon
The ATW Bristol Triathlon is held around Bristol Harbour with the event base at Brunel Lock Road, Cumberland Basin. The course begins with a swim in the Cumberland Basin, continues with a traffic-free bike section on the Portway passing under the Clifton suspension bridge, and finishes with a run alongside the River Avon that crosses a flyover near the finish area.
The event uses a rolling start and is run as a non-drafting competition. Two full triathlon distances are offered, plus Aquabike options and a relay over the Standard distance:
- Sprint - 750m swim, 21km bike, 5km run
- Standard - 1500m swim, 42km bike, 10km run
Aquabike entries are available for both distances and a Standard-distance relay is offered. The bike and run sections are closed-road and traffic-free. The course is marked and marshalled, and finish-line provisions include snacks, goodies and a custom medal for finishers. The event notes that it is for athletes of all abilities and ages.
There is no parking at the event venue; city centre parking options are available. Drop off points and spectator areas will be highlighted in the final race information. The organiser does not offer refunds or transfers to another person but allows transfers of entries to future ATW events up to 48 hours before the event date.
