ATW Bristol Triathlon
The ATW Bristol Triathlon is held around Bristol Harbour with the venue at Brunel Lock Road, Cumberland Basin, Bristol. The course begins with a swim in the Cumberland Basin, continues with a traffic free bike on Portway under the Clifton suspension bridge, and finishes with a run alongside the River Avon that ends over the flyover with spectator support.
The event uses a rolling start and is organised as a non drafting competition. Two triathlon distances are offered and there are alternative race formats available:
- Sprint - 750m swim, 21km bike, 5km run
- Standard - 1500m swim, 42km bike, 10km run
Aquabike entries are available for both distances and a relay option is offered over the Standard distance. The event features closed road, traffic free bike and run sections, course marshals, course signage, finish line snacks and a custom medal.
The organiser’s entry policy does not provide refunds or transfers to another person. Entrants may transfer their entry to any future ATW event up to 48 hours before the original event date. There is no parking at the event venue; city centre parking is available and drop off points and spectator areas will be highlighted in the final race information.
