Event
The ATW Bristol Triathlon is a closed-road triathlon held in Bristol and based around Bristol Harbour. The swim takes place in the Cumberland Basin, the bike uses a traffic-free section of Portway passing under the Clifton Suspension Bridge, and the run follows the River Avon. The event is organised by ATW, a national events company established in 2011 that stages running, triathlon and other multi-discipline events and records over 40,000 entries a year. The next scheduled race date is 12/07/2026.
Race details and logistics
The event is a mass-start, non-drafting competition with two main distance options, plus alternative formats. Aquabike (swim-bike) is available for both distances and there is a relay option over the Standard distance. There is no parking at the event venue; parking options exist in the city centre. ATW’s transfer and refund policy states there are no refunds or transfers to another person, but entries can be transferred to any future ATW event up to 48 hours before the original event date without proof.
