Event overview
The atTAcK addiction 5K is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, in New Castle, Delaware. This is the 13th annual edition of the race. The event supports atTAcK addiction, a grassroots organization formed in 2013 that raises awareness about the disease of addiction, influences public policy, and assists people in recovery and their families. The 5K provides 80% of the organization’s funding and helped open a Resource Center in Peoples Plaza.
Location, entrants and logistics
The race takes place at St. Peter the Apostle School, 515 Harmony Street, New Castle, DE 19720. Registration price is listed at $35 and increases after March 5, 2026. The course is USATF certified and a course map is provided for directional purposes. Each participant receives a custom bib, a T-shirt, and post-race refreshments. Awards include overall male and female, overall masters male and female, top three in each age group (13 and under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+), largest team, and top fundraiser categories for individuals and teams. Team sign requirements note that a team must have five registrants by February 23, 2026 to qualify for a team sign.
