Event Details
The atTAcK addiction 5K is a running event scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026. This marks its 13th annual occurrence.
The Event's Purpose
The event is described as a movement to raise awareness and combat the stigma associated with addiction. Many participants are personally impacted by substance use disorder (SUD), whether through personal recovery, the loss of a loved one, or supporting a family member. The organization behind the event, atTAcK addiction, works to change public policy and assist people in recovery and their families. It operates a Resource Center in Peoples Plaza.
Financial Support
The 5K provides 80% of the organization's funding. Participants can also fundraise individually, with those raising $150 or more eligible for a hoodie.
Location & Course
The event takes place at 515 Harmony Street, St. Peter the Apostle School in New Castle, Delaware. The course is USATF certified.
Participant Information
Registration for the main 5K event costs $35. Participants receive a custom bib, a T-shirt, and post-race refreshments. Awards are given for overall male and female winners, overall masters winners, and the top three finishers in standard age groups.
Other Activities
