ATM Sunday Brunch Hike at the Afrikaanse Taalmonument
This is a curated, self guided outdoor hike that starts at the Afrikaanse Taalmonument in Paarl and follows marked routes to a picnic point called Krismiskamp and back. The event focuses on fresh air, movement and scenic views across Paarl and the surrounding mountains.
The route covers varied terrain including jeep track, singletrack and some technical sections across fynbos‑covered slopes and granite outcrops. The setting is exposed and scenic, with wide views over the Winelands and the Drakenstein Valley. The listed duration is about three to four hours including time at the picnic area. The event is described as suitable for most walkers with average fitness and has limited capacity.

Included with the entry are access to the monument grounds, marked routes, a relaxed picnic atmosphere at Krismiskamp and a small serving of wine and light snacks, plus event safety and management. Children under 16 enter free and a concession applies for pensioners. Participants must stay on marked routes, respect the natural environment, and note that fires, loud music and drones are not allowed.
