Athy Half Marathon
The Athy event is a town-centre road race in Athy, County Kildare, offering three official distances and course maps for each route. The race starts and finishes at the Shackleton Museum in Athy town centre and uses closed roads for the courses.
Distances:

- 5k Fun Run
The event is chip timed and provides a medal and a finisher gift for all finishers. The organisers highlight safety measures through road closures and professional timing and rewards. The event is promoted as suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, with an emphasis on family-friendly 5k participation.
Practical notes published by the organisers mention that Athy is about one hour from Dublin and that the town centre location creates access for spectators and participants.
