Athgarvan GAA & LGFA Fun Run 2026

The Athgarvan GAA & LGFA Fun Run returns for 2026, set against the backdrop of the Curragh in County Kildare. This community event utilizes the scenic rolling plains of the area and is based at Scoil Bhríde National School. Participants have the choice of two main distances:

5 km
10 km

The event is open to runners, joggers, and walkers. Registration options are available for adults and those under 18, with a specific family entry category encompassing two adults and two children for the 5 km distance.

Awards are presented to the first male and female finishers in both the 5 km and 10 km events, as well as the first male and female finishers in the under 18 category for the 5 km distance. All participants who complete their respective course receive a finisher's medal. Following the run, refreshments are provided for attendees in the school hall.
