Athgarvan GAA & LGFA Fun Run 2026
The Athgarvan GAA & LGFA Community Fun Run takes place on 13 June 2026 on the rolling plains of the Curragh. The event is based at Scoil Bhríde National School in Athgarvan, Co Kildare (R56 A436), and welcomes runners, joggers, and walkers. Chip timing is used for the 5 km and 10 km races. Prizes are awarded to the first male and female finishers in both distances and to the first male and female U18 in the 5 km. All finishers receive a custom medal, and refreshments are provided in the hall after the event. Custom race t-shirts are available for €10.
The event is presented by Athgarvan GAA and LGFA as a local community activity on the Curragh plain. The course setting and facility details are centred on the school and nearby grounds, with post-race arrangements held in the school hall.
