43rd Athens Marathon. The Authentic
The Athens Marathon. The Authentic is a historic running event held in Greece, organized by SEGAS (Hellenic Athletics) with the support of the City of Athens and the Region of Attica. The event features multiple road races across two days, attracting approximately 75,000 runners and involving 5,000 volunteers.
Participants can choose from several distances and event formats:
- Marathon Race (42.195 km)
- 10km Road Race
- 5km Road Race
- 5km Universities Night Run
- Kids Race 1.200m
The event includes the Allwyn Marathon Expo, which is recognized as the largest exhibition of sporting goods in Greece. Alongside the competitive races, the program features activities such as "Authentic Talks," where various personalities discuss the values associated with the marathon. The event also facilitates an NGO charity program and maintains a dedicated volunteering program for those wishing to support the organization.
