TMC Arizona Distance Classic
The TMC Arizona Distance Classic is a road running event held in any Oro Valley, Arizona, located just north of Tucson. The races are staged at the Roche Tissue Diagnostics campus on Innovation Park Drive. The courses take participants through the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains, featuring views of the Tortolita and Tucson Mountains. The routes follow Rancho Vistoso Boulevard and Innovation Park Drive, winding past saguaro cacti and areas surrounding Honey Bee Canyon.
Participants move along gently rolling terrain. The 5k course includes an out and back section where the return leg is primarily downhill. The event includes the following distances:
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 6.55 miles (Quarter Marathon)
- 3.1 miles (5K)
The courses are fully supported with aid stations and cheer groups. The half marathon and quarter marathon have a strict course closure at 10:00 am. This event also offers divisions for wheelchair riders involved with chair-pushed organizations.
Registrants receive a technical t-shirt, a race number, and a finisher's medal upon completion. The event features a morning festival with food trucks, music, and a vendor expo. Awards are presented for overall and age group placements across the three main distances. Southern Arizona Roadrunners (SAR) members are eligible for a discount on registration fees.
