Area 51 : Mineola, TX
Area 51 takes place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Mineola Nature Preserve in Mineola, Texas. The event is organized by Run Different and includes in-person and virtual options. The in-person races provide event-themed participation shirts and custom finisher medals for the 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and 1-mile entries. Registration by January 17 is required to guarantee a t-shirt size. Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped.

- Kid's Dash - short 100–200 meter sprint, entry is free
- 1 Mile - untimed, receives shirt and finisher medal
- 5K
- 10K - two laps of the course
- Half-Marathon - four laps of the course
- Virtual Option - shirt and medal shipped
Entry fees shown on the event page: Kid's Dash $0, Half-Marathon $65, 10K $42, 5K $35, 1 Mile $18, Virtual $40. Price increases for the Half-Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile occur after February 28, 2026. The Kid's Dash participants can buy a shirt or finisher medal as add-ons. Age group awards are four deep in male and female divisions from 0-4 through 80+. Overall and masters categories also receive overall medals. Run Different donates a portion of proceeds to Encounter Church (Fate). Volunteers can earn future race entry codes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
