Event Details
This is the 13th edition of the Archiestown 5K. The event takes place on Saturday, 25th April.
Charity Support
All proceeds from the 5K race go to the Knockando Playgroup. These proceeds will be double matched by a sponsor, meaning an £8 entry fee is turned into £24 for the playgroup.
Race Series
The race is part of the Speyside Series, which includes other events like a 5-mile run, a half marathon, and a trail 10K.
Course and Facilities
The run takes place on public roads. A water station is provided at approximately the 3K mark, with water also available at the finish. Registration occurs between 10:00 and 10:45 at Archiestown Village Hall. Participants must sign a disclaimer when collecting their race number.
For safety reasons, the use of headphones is not allowed during the run. Runners under 12 years old must stay close to a responsible adult.
Post-Race
Refreshments and a prize-giving ceremony for the first male and female finishers in the Senior, Junior (under 14), and Jog Scotland categories are held in the Village Hall. Toilets and changing facilities (no showers) are available in the hall.
Environmental Note
To minimize the event's environmental impact and reduce costs, a discounted entry fee is offered for participants who choose not to receive a finisher's medal. Medals are handed out at the finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
