Arbor Day 5k & Disability Challenge
The Arbor Day 5k & Disability Challenge is a charity run, walk, and roll held in Biloxi at 121 Cadet St. Proceeds benefit Disability Connection, a 501c3 nonprofit founded in 2002. Supported programs include Community Assist, a set of Mississippi Coast community resource guides, Supported Employment, and events such as the Art Ability Fair.
Event offerings include the following distances:
- 5k Run
- 5k Racewalker
- 1/4 Mile Run/Walk
- 1/4 Mile Disability Run
Awards are presented for standard race divisions. T-shirts are guaranteed only to pre-registrants. Published entry fees include different prices for Gulf Coast Running Club members and non-members for the 5k, a reduced fee for children in the 1/4 mile, and a higher fee for late registration on the morning of the event.
