Flagstaff Extreme Big Pine Trail Runs

The Flagstaff Extreme Big Pine Trail Runs take place at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, Arizona. The event offers four race distances: a 50K, a 27K, a 13K, and a 6K.

The course uses the Soldiers Trail and Highlands Trail Loop, winding through ponderosa pines above 7,000 feet. Runners reach a mesa with expansive mountain views before returning to the forest. The 50K route extends to Rogers Lake via the Gold Digger and Two Spot trails before returning to the start/finish area for a final 13K loop. The trails range from narrow single-track to wide, well-maintained forest paths. The races follow a 13K loop format: the 27K is two loops, and the 13K is one loop.

Camping is available as an add-on during registration. It is festival-style, tent-only camping located on the course, a short walk from the start/finish area. Pre-setup tent and cot rentals are offered. Camping permits are valid from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning.

A 25% discount is offered for passes to the Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course, which is located at the start/finish area and offers courses for adults and children. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
