Course and logistics
Courses use the Soldiers Trail and Highlands Trail Loop through ponderosa pine forest above 7,000 ft and include a mesa section with long views. Trails vary from narrow single track to wider forest paths. The 27K runs two loops of the 13K circuit; the 50K follows additional trails out toward Rogers Lake, returns through the start/finish area around mile 22–23, then completes a final 13K loop. Aid stations are spaced roughly every 4 to 7 miles and offer water, an electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. Pacers are allowed only for the final loop of the 50K; crews are permitted at the start/finish area only. Drop bags are allowed at the start/finish and available on each loop. Festival-style tent camping is offered near the course; vehicle parking is in a nearby lot, not at individual tents. Medical staff are based at the start/finish.
