Copper Corridor Trail Runs - Superior, AZ
The Copper Corridor Trail Runs take place in Superior, Arizona on Saturday, February 27, 2027. The event offers multiple trail distances that start and finish in the old mining town of Superior, with the 12K starting and finishing at the Superior Public Pool.
Distances:
- 50K loop incorporating many miles of the Arizona Trail and a circumnavigation of Picketpost Mountain.
- 32K
- 17K
- 12K
Courses leave downtown and travel west into Arnett Canyon, passing riparian areas, flowing creeks, dense sycamore trees, Saguaro cactus stands, and notable rock formations. Aid stations are provided at regular intervals along the courses and supply water, electrolyte drink, snacks, ice, and fruit; spacing varies by distance. The event uses chip timing and offers live split tracking during the race. The race is cupless: aid stations do not supply paper cups, so participants are expected to carry their own containers.
Crew and pacer policies are specific: pacers are not allowed; crews are permitted at designated locations but cannot park at the Picketpost trailhead and must use parking 0.5 to 0.75 miles away. Drop bags are available at the start/finish; the 50K has no remote drop bag locations. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers at each distance, and finishers receive a custom finisher glass. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
