- 12K
The 50K, 32K, and 17K courses use downtown Superior as the start and finish. The 12K starts and finishes at the Superior Public Pool. Courses travel west from town into Arnett Canyon and along sections of the Arizona Trail, passing Picketpost Mountain. Terrain includes riparian creeks, dense sycamore stands, saguaro cactus forests, and notable rock formations.
Aid stations are provided along all courses at intervals that vary by distance, offering water, ice, an electrolyte drink (Gnarly Fuel 2O), sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. The event is cupless; aid stations do not provide paper cups so participants must carry their own container. A chip timing system records finish times and runners check in at aid stations by displaying their bib number. Drop bags are available at the start/finish area; the 50K has no remote drop bag locations.
Crews are allowed at specified locations but Picketpost parking is restricted and crews may need to walk from a designated staging area. Pacers are not permitted for any distance. MedStar Solutions medical staff will be on site at the start/finish headquarters to provide first aid and medical support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
