Apple Fest Run/Walk, Gays Mills, WI
The Apple Fest Run/Walk takes place on 09/26/2026 at Lions Club Park, 506 Main Street, Gays Mills, WI 54631. The event program includes multiple distances:
- 440 Yards Kids 1/4 Mile Run
- 2 Miles 2 Mile Run and 2 Mile Walk
- 5 Miles 5 Mile Run
Online registration opens 03/01/2026 and closes 09/10/2026. Registration fees listed for main events are $30 for the 2 mile and 5 mile runs and $20 for the kids 440 yard run and the 2 mile walk. Same day registration is available 7:30 to 8:15 at the Lions Shelter park adjacent to the Gays Mills bridge, across from Robb Park. Registration prices increase after 09/09/2026 and a T shirt is not guaranteed.
Course and results information: the 2 mile and 5 mile races are chip timed. The running route is an out and back course of rolling hills on West River Road, beginning and ending by the dam in Gays Mills and running along the Kickapoo River area. Age divisions are provided for male and female categories, including 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Youth divisions are 6 and under and 7-14. Trophies are awarded to the fastest male and female in the 2 mile and 5 mile races; top three in each age group receive prizes and must be present to accept them.
