Event Overview
The Apple Fest Run/Walk takes place in Gays Mills, Wisconsin, a town known as Apple Country in the Driftless Area. The event is part of the annual Apple Fest celebration. It offers four different activities: a 2 Mile Run, a 5 Mile Run, a Kids 1/4 Mile Run for participants aged 15 and under, and a 2 Mile Walk.
Course & Location
The runs take place on a course described as having many hills with some flat sections. The 5-mile run follows a wooded backroad heading out of town. The course runs alongside the Kickapoo River and offers views of fall foliage. The start and finish line is located by the dam in Gays Mills. Registration and the event base is at Lions Club Park adjacent to the Gays Mills bridge.
Event Details
Same-day registration is available at the Lions Shelter park. The 2 Mile and 5 Mile runs are chip-timed. The event supports a local program called Food4Kids, run by the North Crawford National Honor Society, which provides food to students with food insecurities.
