Event Overview
The Apex Halloween Hustle 5k is a Halloween-themed running event. It includes two races: a Halloween 5k and a Minion's Mile for kids. The event takes place in Carrollton, Georgia, starting and finishing at the City Recreation Department on Lumpkin Drive.
Course Details
The 5k course is 3.1 miles long and takes place entirely on a greenbelt path. The route starts near a pavilion, goes through woods, passes Castle Playground and East Carrollton soccer fields, and turns around at a Log Cabin. The total elevation change is approximately 250 feet. The course has rest areas with park benches and hydration tables.
Event Features
The event has Halloween decorations, festive music, and fog machines. A costume contest is held with prizes for best dressed. There is free cotton candy and popcorn available. Custom medals are awarded to participants. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in twelve 5-year categories per gender, from a teenage division up to age 70+. The 5k is a Peachtree Road Race qualifying event.
Registration
Registration is available for both events. The price for the Minion's Mile is $12, and the price for the Halloween 5k is $20. Prices increase after specific dates in July and October 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
