About the race
The Apex Halloween Hustle is a themed running event held on October 24, 2026, at the City Recreation Department, 110 Lumpkin Dr., Carrollton, GA 30117. The event includes a kids mile and a 5k course that runs mostly on the greenbelt and through wooded parkland. Course details: the 5k covers approximately 3.1 miles, follows the greenbelt, passes Castle Playground and the East Carrollton soccer fields, and turns around at the Log Cabin. The route crosses two roadways and has an overall elevation change of about 250 feet.
Several rest areas appear along the course and include park benches and hydration tables. Event features listed by the organizer include festive Halloween music, decorations, fog machines, a costume contest with best dressed prizes, custom medals, candy, face paint, and free cotton candy and popcorn.
