Apache Run events in Sherwood, Ohio
This event day includes a 5K run/walk, color runs on a grassy lot near the elementary school, and short fun runs for youth. The 5K is a flat out and back course that starts at Fairview Elementary. The color runs take place on the grassy lot by the school and are non-competitive; the 0.6 mile course is two laps and the 1.2 mile course is four laps.
Age groups and awards are specified for each race. The 5K has age divisions from 12 and under through 70 and over. Plaques are awarded to the top three overall and to the top two in each 5K age group, and plaques will be personalized with names and times. The color runs list age groups from 12 and under through 50 and over; plaques are given to top male and female finishers and medals to top finishers in each age group. The one mile fun run is open to all ages and a half mile event is offered for children ages 8 and under.
Fees vary by race and by whether a T shirt is included. The Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles 372 of Defiance is listed as the sponsor. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
