Antigonish Highland Games 5 Mile Road Race
This race is part of the Antigonish Highland Games and takes place at Columbus Field on Main Street in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada. The event is listed as the 26th edition, 28th year.
The course is flat and run out and back. It includes approximately three miles of a gravelled path with no traffic, with the remainder on paved streets. The start and finish are on a dirt track.
Entry includes a technical t-shirt for the first 200 participants, a refreshment ticket for those 19 years and over, and access to the Concert Under the Stars. The entry fee for Junior runners (18 and under) and Youth runners (13 and under) is CA$25.00.
Cash prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers. Antigonish Highland Games medals are given to the top three finishers in each age category. Trophies and awards are also presented for category winners and for top local and kilted youth runners.
